Scotland Trip
Here are a few pics from our trip in October. Since it was more of a genealogy trek than a sight- seeing one there aren't many of the normal 'touristy' shots as we were mostly in out of the way places. Enjoy.
We rented a cottage in the small village of Ardfern on Loch Craignish and used it as 'home base' for day trips in the surrounding area. A really lovely place, the cottages are owned by Richard Blair, all-around super nice guy and the son of George Orwell.
Loch Craignish is located just west of Kilmartin on the map. Our cottage is in the left center of the Loch photo.

My favorite place!

Daphne and her sister, Cynthia, had a ball playing 'archaeologists' at their ancestral place on the Kintyre Peninsula. The remains of the old croft,"Lagnacraig", is located just southwest of Campbeltown on Tirfergus Hill.
It is presently part of Homeston Farm which is a working farm & equestrian center owned by Malcom & Lorna MacArthur, a really nice couple that made us feel very much at home.

While Daphne & Cynthia did their digging, I took on the thankless job of guarding the many single malts in the guest room at Homeston.
(Well, someone had to do it!)
Thanks for looking!
